View the latest post Attachment(s) Wellcraft 190 ccf repower engine mounting

I have a 1997 190 ccf center console. Current original motor is a johnson 115 spl mounted so cavitation plate is about 2 inches higher than the very bottom of the boat. I was told that due to my stepped transom that you should mount the motor so the cavitation plate is 1 inch higher than the bottom of the boat for every 12 inches of setback. Putting on a yamaha 130 v4 2 stroke 20 inch longshaft. Should I mimic where the johnson is mounted? I did not try the boat in its current configuration so I don't know if there are cavitation issues but former owner didn't mention anything. Thanks

View the latest post My 1986 Nova 23 XL

Hello to all,
I was lucky last year to find my 1986 Wellcraft Nova 23 XL yacht storage "barn find" in Grand Haven, Michigan (fresh water Lake Michigan). It is an "all original" boat, original gelcoat, interior, cabin, pin striping, decals, carpet, canvas, engine and outdrive decals ALL in perfect condition! It was stored indoors its entire life since original purchase. The original owner had it 33 years and it's 2nd owner was the same yacht club's business manager for 5 years whom I purchased it from.
I live in Florida and the boat never had a trailer so I rented a trailer to go get it. 2500 miles rt. Finding a boat rental trailer to take out of state was challenging.
I got numerous videos from the sales person prior but was still very nervous of it's real condition ...you know how photos can be.
Long story short, we have had the boat now for 9 months and have run it a number of times. IT IS PERFECT! I just can't believe I found a near perfect almost showroom new Nova 23. It is a dream come true.
I will keep you all updated on our travels. Happy boating!
Vic

View the latest post forward hatch leak

I have a 2005 232 coastal and have been recently experiencing some leakage from the forward hatch. I suspect that the rubber trim is compressed to a point where water is leaking. It's not a lot but annoying enough. I can't find a replacement part number. Does anyone know what Wellcraft part to order or a suitable substitute?
Thanks

View the latest post Attachment(s) Mistery Wellcraft model

Hello Everyone,
I am Alessandro from Italy.
I found this boat (attached) for sale, the seller told me that is a wellcraft, about 8 meters, fully open.
The specs plate is lost. I would discover what model is, someone can help me? I know that is not easy. It seems to be an old scarab, but I dont know a fully open scarab of 26 - 28 feet.
Thank you everyone in advance.
