View the latest post interrupter switch warning whistle/how to disable?

Mates,
My former boat mechanic was supposed to replace this earlier this summer but, instead, he removed the plastic slide in piece and said this would work until he could get around to it.
Recently, and especially last weekend, after start-up the warning whistle remains on for anywhere from 2 minutes to 10 minutes, which basically is about to drive my friends and me crazy.
Since my mechanic has disappeared and I don't know anyone honest and reliable, I would like to disable it until I can locate someone I trust to replace it.
Does anyone have any insight or instructions I can use, or any websites that will help?

Thus far, I have not found anything helpful on the internet.
Thank you,
Wallace M. Berry

Hello Wellcraft world! Recently had this boat repowered and I'm looking for information on the hull and how I should go about restoration of deck and possibly stringers...
1) Any owner manuals out there?
2) I have 2 small soft spots, should I cut out and just take care of those or is this boat known to rot the stringers?
3) How much life should I get out of the Hull?
4) Anybody else have one similar?
5) 2016 Suzuki 300 4stroke ... In between props and boat is stern heavy, going to a 4 blade but don't want to sacrifice to much speed, Rev 4? Currently getting 55MPH @WOT 6025 RPMS w 1/3 of a tank 4 ppl on board with a Suzuki SS 3/16/20... trying a Suzuki 4/15/20 and moving motor up one hole next week.

Any info provided is much appreciated ! Thanks !

View the latest post Hello from Chile

Hi all. I just bought my first boat a Wellcraft 290 coastal 2001 with 2 johnson 225 outboards. It was really hard buying it from Chile and shipping over here...and expensive as well.
I have a lot of questions i hope can find some answers here.

Greetings

Jorge

View the latest post Attachment(s) 1994 Martinique 3600

Just brought her from Sandusky to Toledo Ohio in a 18-20 MPH southwest wind across Lake Erie yesterday. 12 Knots 3.5 hours and spray over the windshield. Twin 454 Merc's with 554 hours and a fairly clean survey except some moisture in the deck around the windshield and a leaky port window.

Not the boat I was looking for but I am fairly happy with my purchase and I think I got a great deal on this particular Wellcraft.

looking forward to learning and maybe helping onece in a while here on the forum.

View the latest post water in 2400 cuddy area

I just picked up a 1997 eclipse 2400 open bow with a small cuddy under the starboard front bow area. For those who don't know it's a very small, child only/storage only type cuddy. After a couple uses I noticed the carpet was wet in the cuddy area. Besides the bilge area it is the lowest area. There is also a pass through drain made from pvc at the back of the cuddy that I assume leads into the bilge area eventually. I have not found the exact exit point yet. I don't have standing water but enough to make the entire carpet floor wet. Water in a boat freaks me out and I can not figure out where it is coming from. The bilge pump and bilge area stays dry as a bone and the pump never kicks on. I have researched this alot and have read some things but can't narrow it down to any of these: bad sealing where bow meets hull (never in rough enough water to get water up that high but I will reseal/caulk this fall; possibly from rain but I haven't had any rain between the last two times we took it out and I keep it covered; leak from a speedometer hose which I'm not sure how to check that; and, bad through hull fitting which is where I'm at. My initial thought is since I have only noticed the water on the starboard side the floor drain which leads to a through hull exit on the side of the boat is leaking. I shoved a snake camera up the exit and didn't see any cracks but that doesn't mean anything. It has a good seal at the hull but then the thick flexible rubber hose runs under some things that I can't gain access too and is attached to the back floor drain by the bench seat. Maybe there is a crack or the hose isnt connected good to the drain and water runs out of the hose? I have no clue so just looking for some thoughts and things to check. Also I have no clue how to gain access to the floor drain to check the hose and connection. Any help would be appreciated. Last time I had the boat out the bilge area was dry until a got it on an incline and took the drain plug out, then about a gallon or two of water drained. I put a fan in the cuddy area and dried it out so now I wait.

View the latest post New to Wellcraft

I'm new to a used wellcraft. I just picked up a 1997 eclipse 2400 open bow, 7.4 mercruiser and bravo out drive. Looked at alot of used boats before getting this one, and I think I made a good decision. I look forward to running it for years to come. I live 1/10th a mile from ceasar creek state park in Ohio so we should get alot more use out of it before winter.

View the latest post Hello from A new member from Boston

Hi,
Bought my boat about a year ago and recently became aware of this site. Been boating for many years, but this is my first Wellcraft. This is actually one of two boats I own (I tell people I'm twice as stupid) the other being a Grady White I keep in Falmouth on Cape Cod. I bought the Wellcraft because I want to do more exploring north of Boston up through NH and Maine. Anyway, my Wellcraft is a 1993 St. Tropez 3600, which I have determined not many were made. There are plenty of 3200s but I can't seem to find much info on the 3600. Anyway, if anyone out there owns one like mine or the precursor, which I believe was the Corsair, I would like to know so as to trade info. Thanks, for reading and looking forward to sung the site.

View the latest post 2016 Coastal Quality

Hello everyone. Great forum you have here!

We are soon to be owners of a 2016 Wellcraft 290 Coastal. Going for sea trial Friday and will hopefully sign the deal afterwards.
One thing that has me a little worried is the latest acquisitions that have occurred and quality. How was quality been since the Beneteau purchase?
Any input would be great. Thanks!!!
