View the latest post 1998 240 ccf. HELP!!! macerator pump location

The bilge pump problem is eliminated. I replaced it with a new one and rigged it with an automatic float switch and manual override. The only problem i have is locating that macerator pump. My fishbox is located in the floor, stern. Up until last year it worked flawlessly. I can.t locate it. I have 2 batteries resting on a plywood shelf behind the transom door suspended above the bilge. The fishbox is ahead of that. The shelf obstructs view of the bilge. Does anybody know the location of this macerator pump? The salt water raw pump has been located and is bolted to the rear transom wall, above the bilge starboard side. Easy access. The freshwater pump is located above the bilge above the bilge, port side. Easy access. BUT WHERE IS THAT FISHBOX MACERATOR PUMP?? Do i need to take that plywood shelf that my batteries rest on completely off??? Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

View the latest post 1998 240 ccf. HELP!!! The saga continues

Raymoiv here from homeport of narragansett, ri. Does anybody know the location of the pump that services the stern fish box in the floor? My view of the bilge is obstructed by the shelf that supports the batteries. I can only see the bilge pump, and next to that is an attwood aerator 500. Is it possible that the fishbox pump hangs from the bottom of the fishbox like a garbage disposal hangs from a kitchen sink? Any response appreciated because I.m getting to the point of calling it a season. Once I identify this pump and its location i.ll be halfway there to solving this problem.

View the latest post 1998 240 CCF Help!!! Fish Box Pump Problems!!!

It.s been quite a journey but I am almost there. My last problem is finding this macerator pump that services the stern fishbox. I have accounted for every pump i have on this 1998 240 ccf except for the macerator pump. Would installing an access pie plate in the aft of the fishbox give me access to this pump wherever it is? Is this pump hung like my raw water pump and freshwater pump? Does is hang below the fishbox or to the side of it? Where could this macerator pump be?

View the latest post 1989 scarab sprint repower

hello to the group
I have recently acquired a 1989 26 scarab sprint and I love the way the boat rides. the boat came with the original 225 Yamaha and still rides great but I find myself wanting more I feel that I have been riding the motor hard 5500,5600 rpms to keep the boat at a speed and more comfortable ride. I have been looking into repower options and knowing that the new 4 strokes are about 150 pounds heavier I wanted to know if that's going to be too much weight on the transom. Im new to outboards so this is a whole new concept to me. any suggestions? anyone have a good 250 or 300 4 stroke for sale?

View the latest post Replacement parts for restoration

I have a 1987 Coastal 250 that I am currently restoring. I am in need of several replacement parts such as rub rail rope, cleats, vents, companion way door, shifter, etc. Does anyone know of some resources that may have these items? Is there a company that specializes in boat restoration parts?
Thanks for the help.
Terri

View the latest post 2000 22 WA-OB (frd bilge & Vacuflush)

Hello everyone, just purchased this boat, and trying to find access to forward bilge. Does it have one, because I do not see any access? I was thinking of pulling the table mount out to see what is underneath?

Investigating the wet carpet in the cabin.

I am trying to test the Vacuflush. It seems to be pumping, but does not shut off. I am trying to determine if it is not building up vacuum, or the vacuum switch is not cutting off. Probably ordering the vacuum pressure gauge from SeaCoast today. I was just wondering if anyone has pulled that unit out to clean back there.

Where is the pump for the floor lockers, I was told it was bad.

Thanks,
Mike
