View the latest post Engine hatch lift / ram

Researching a boat I am thinking of buying. Question if I may, is the hatch ram on the Martinique 3700 hydraulic ram or electric ram? Ever have a problem with it being VERY slow to open? What has anyone done who has repaired their hatch lift motor?

Thank you in advance.

View the latest post Looking into Nova

Hi, all! .Thank you for allowing me to join

I live on the coast of North Carolina near Wilmington. I owned a nice lake boat when my kids were young. It was probably one of the best family fun investments I made.. I am retired now, kids are grown. and interested in getting back on the water. Mostly for my pleasure and a few friends. I know my wife will never get on the boat. She won't ride in my hot rods, either. :smh:

The Cape Fear river enters from the Atlantic near South port and of course there is the inland waterway separating mainland from the barrier islands. I am looking at a mid 90s Nova 23.

I would like to read impressions of the Nova particularly for ocean use. I have spent much time on lakes and rivers in a boat of this size but was wondering how these handle the open water. Not that it will spend much of its life there. Just want to be aware of its capabilities in calm to moderate seas.

Thank you in advance to all advice and opinions

View the latest post Attachment(s) 1975 Airslot 165

In December I bought a very original 1975 Airslot 165 with a 1975 Mercury 115 Tower of Power. This was a running boat that a neighbor had. Running but in tired condition. The original vinyl upholstery was beyond saving so I had the cushions reupholstered and I reupholstered the side panels, installed new back-to-back seat and carpet and rewired the boat. Now it's ready for the water again.

View the latest post Hello from Michigan

I live on Lake St. Clair (East coast of Michigan, mid thumb) where I run a 1994 238CCF with a 2008 200HP ETEC. I may be looking to repower soon, but I absolutely love the boat.

Does anyone happen to know the depth of the fuel tank or fuel tank specs for a replacement sender. (Reed type). I suspect the sender is faulty.

View the latest post Fuel Tank Removal

Hi,
I'm looking to find out what is involved in removing a 149 gallon fuel tank from a 1999 330 coastal.
I'm not going to cut a giant hole out of my hull, but was told that removing the engine first, and it should come out.
I was hoping someone on this forum could offer some advice.

Thanks, Tom

View the latest post 3700 martinique, wood pieces and termites.

Does anyone know the construction of 3700 Martinique deck and hull?
Looked at a 3700 Martinique today and found large amount of termite wings and droppings under the cockpit area in the aft interior sitting area.
Looks to be very fresh and under the instrument panel area of the cockpit.
Worried this could also mean they are in the hull or deck if those are cored.
Thoughts in this GREATL appreciated. Is this a 'walk away as fast as you can' type issue or a 'just pull the panels, replaced any damaged and fumigate to kill' type situation.

Thank you.
