View the latest post Hey everybody

I’m new to Wellcraft, but not new to boating. I just purchased a 1995 260 S Eclipse with the 7.4 Merc. . I’d love to know where I could get my hands on an owners manual. Any help is greatly appreciated.
TIA

View the latest post 1987 Wellcraft

Hi there.

I have a 1987 Wellcraft Monte Carlo. The Door hatch that covers the cabin doors is broken. The corner of the plexiglass hatch is broken off. I took it to a glass place and they can not fix it because of the shape of the break. I’m looking for a new or used hatch. Any suggestions?

View the latest post windlass main breaker 1997 33 coastal

Hello fellow Wellcrafters. I have a 1997 33 Coastal and am tracing a problem with the main voltage to the Maxwell 600 windlass. Solenoid is pulling in just fine, but I have no line voltage to the solenoid. I know where the red circuit breaker is in the cabin panel, is there one I'm missing? Going to pull the panel today to verify power to that 80 amp breaker, but it doesn't appear tripped from looking at it from outside panel. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, PipeGuy

We had an 89' Wellcraft Classic 192 for almost 4 years. Sold it because we had a baby and a new house, no time to use it. It's been 13 years and we are finally back on the water. I found a Wellcraft Eclipse 196s with a Mercruiser 4.3L in beautiful shape.

View the latest post Hello

Hello! I just bought a 1985 26’ Nova II and am really excited about it! I’m not new to boats or boating but have never owned a Wellcraft or a boat with twins. Looking forward to the adventure. I don’t really know much about Nova IIs. Are they also known as Spyders or are Spyders a different vessel? LOL…I’ll get there.

View the latest post Wellcraft Excel 26SE Propeller Size

Hello All,

I was wondering if someone knew some info regarding propeller size, WOT and cruising RPMs and speed for a 1996 Wellcraft Excel 26SE with a Volvo Penta 5.8FL setup. I previous had a 14.5x19p prop but I'm told it wasn't reaching the RPM spec for WOT (4200-4500?). Now I have a 17p prop. I believe it's a 15x17p. With the current prop, I achieved the below RPMs and speeds.

I understand the prop should allow achieving the rated WOT RPM, but these speeds seem pretty low. Conditions were 2 people with 1/2 tank of gas. With the 14.5x19p prop last year I recall cruising around 24kts @ 3200-3300 RPMs but I do not recall what I got for WOT. I'm also being told my tachometer is reading about 200 RPMs low, but that doesn't seem to make sense from the below data as that would imply a 3600RPM (seems high) for just a 20.5kts cruise.

GPS HEADING Notes RPMs "GPS SPEED(KTS)" "SPEED(MPH)"
215 M Against Tide 3000 12.6 14.5
219 M 3200 17.7 20.4
210 M 3400 20.5 23.6
219 M 3600 23.8 27.4
200 M WOT 4200 27.8 32.0
201 M WOT 4200 27.9 32.1
058 M With Tide 2800 12.5 14.4
059 M 3300 19.9 22.9
046 M 3400 22 25.3
063 M 3600 24 27.6

Any feedback is much appreciated!

Thanks,
John

Would anyone know if the engine compartment hatch and the starboard engine need to be removed in order to work on the starboard transmission?
Thanks
