A/C freshwater flush

Postby Wess » Wed Jun 30, 2021 10:32 am

I have a 02 Martinique 3300. The sea strainer for the a/c has a hose fitting on the top of it. I wish to just flush the system with fresh water after using it in salt water. Can I just close the seacock, attach a hose and turn the system on? Can I do this with the A/C system off or should it be on? I don't want to hurt the pump internals with water pressure from the hose. Thanks.

I wouldn't do it with the a/c system of because it might damage the impeller in the pump but yes that's a great way to flush the a/c system. Attach the hose , close the valve, turn the water on, turn on the a/c and run it for 10 min or so
