88 Portofino 4300 Front A/C

Postby ddjinks » Mon Sep 13, 2021 10:44 pm

1988 Portofino 4300 - Can anyone tell me where the water intake, raw water filter and pump are for the front berth ac unit. Just getting a trickle flow out of the thru-hull discharge when I turn on the unit. The ac is under the bed on the port side and I can see the inlet and outlet hoses for the unit but they go through a hole. Don't see the inlet line in any of the other floor access points. Thanks.

Did find the pump...way back in the engine compartment mounted on front wall along with the salon a/c pump. Go figure.

Sorry for the really late reply; haven't been on the forum for quite awhile. The picture is showing the forward wall of the engine compartment. The pump that is showing mounted to the wall is the for the salon A/C. The front berth A/C water pump is on the lower left, hidden behind the battery cover. Hope this helps.

And, yes...that is oil in the bilge. The starboard engine blew while the guy I got the boat from was driving it from Kentucky to Nashville. The engine has since been replaced.
