Baitwell issue

Postby Pete D » Wed Sep 21, 2016 9:42 pm

Have a 270 Coastal 2009 new to me. Baitwell seems to be filling slowly and I noticed the baitwell drain out the side of the boat is dumping almost as much water out as the baitwell pump is adding (and yes the baitwell drain plug is plugged). Any help with insights and troubleshooting would be appreciated!

Hey Pete,
You may want to check to make sure your seacock is open all the way and or check the pump pressure for clogs.
As for the water exiting the well at the same rate it's entering makes sense. The water in the tank must change to
replace the oxygen your bait will use to stay alive.

THX. Turned out it was leaking around the corner panel. Sealed with 3m 5200 and all is good.
