1988 Gran Sport Generator (Kohler) Hour Meter?

Postby Jersey Joe » Tue Sep 22, 2020 3:15 pm

I have two hour meters on my 1988 Gran Sport, one on each side of the helm. Are they both engine meters? Or is one for the Generator. They show a difference of nearly 5,000 hrs. The port shows 830, the stbd shows 5,700.

The hour meters on the dash are for each engine, not the generator. Why are your numbers off?? Don't know? Was a engine replaced? Was a hour meter replaced? These are questions that you needed to ask the previous owner.

5700 hours is an incredibly high number for a gas engine. Got to be something wrong with the hour meter.
