Hi All,
I have a new to me Wellcraft 270 Coastal. It has 2 battery switches 1/2/Both and 3 batteries. I understand this is a common setup on this boat and the 290 coastal. Can anyone advise how the switches are wired? I.E. Does each switch have it's own "1" Battery and the "2" battery on each switch is the same?

2003 270 Coastal Battery Switch(s) wiring

OK, figured it out the old way by taking apart and tracing the wires.
Here are the results if anyone has questions.
2 battery switches 1/2/both/off
2 batteries (there are 3 on the boat, but one only connects to the generator)
Batteries are connected to the switch on the right (1/2 obviously)
Common on right switch connects to some pumps and now the Minn Kota Talon anchor
1/2 on the switch on the left are jumpered to 1/2 on the switch on the right
common on the switch left is connected to the motor (volvo IO) and the stern breaker pannel (house)

good work, the gen batt is for gen only and is charged by running the gen correct? I run 4 battery's on my 270 but I have Yamaha outboards witch have 2 charging ports per engine so I charge a house batt and a starting batt off each engine

Sorry for the late reply. I've not traced all the wires for the generator battery yet. The generator has never been started, it does have it's own battery and I don't think it's connected to the converter.

Greetings, I have a 2600 Martinique 2002, and cant get the power to the bilges or most of the other switches. I have my power control at All, and have tried the other 1. 2 with no success. Can anyone help out with this Q?

Sounds like a connector/corrosion problem. Best to start tracing the power and ground wires to the breaker panel. Also the bilge pumps should have one power wire straight from the Batt. to the float switch. 1st make sure the batteries are good and are charged, then check for power at the terminals on the switch. Next see if you have power on the center post of the switch Off=no power on the center post but the rest of the switch setting you should have power to the center post of the switch the make sure the grounds are good. See if this helps An engine is an engine so don't let the pic of an outboard confuse you
