I have a 2000 24 Walkaround that I love, boat shows great, people at marina ask me if it is new. Have for 2 moths and, as would be expected in older boat, I find a few items not working and am looking for help. First of all, the fish box pump out is not working (the floor boxes), I assume they have a macerator pump somewhere, but I have no idea where to look. Second, there are 2 switches on the dash, lower left of the wheel, which are not toggle swithces but rocker switches, one that lights when turned on and one that does not light, but I have no idea what they are for, I hear nothing when switching them on. Third, Thinking of putting on a windlass, any experience or suggestions with horizontal vs vertical on this boat? Fourth, I have a cockpit courtesy light out, it is behind the driver seat in the back of the livewell enclosure, not sure how to remove to replace bulb or fixture. Last, my boat has a vacuflush system, new to me I always had manual pump heads, the pump runs and creates enough suction to flush but will not shut off automatically, I have to turn the switch off an on as needed.

Many thanks for any help here. Look forward to hearing from you.

I have a 2002 240 Walkaround, the boats may be similar, my fishbox macerator is located directly in front of the outboard motor in the same compartment as the bilge pump, it is affixed to the interior forward wall. For my pump to work one of the fishbox drains have to be plugged, my switch is on the dash with the other switches. The vacuflush should stop automatically after enough vacuum is built up. I do not know how to replace the blubs in the courtesy lights. My boat came with a lewmar windless - Pro Fish series vertical. The rocker switches could be your trim tab switches, again on my boat the only rocker switches I have are for the trim tabs although they don't light up as far as I know.

There's a switch that turn the vacuum pump on and off, that should be located were the pump is. it's round about 3" two red wires it's a simple vacuum switch real easy to change. chances are that it's bad, stuck, corroded or all of the above

It could be a leak in the system, your duck bills need replaced (they say to replace them every 2 years) or the vacuum generator switch. We did the first two and it ended up being the vacuum switch. All are very easy to repair. Look at Youtube videos.

Well after much wasted time I came to discover that prior owner had cut pvc tube between pump and tank at some time for some reason, then filled the gap between them with silicone to seal up!! When I tried to remove pump to fix the fittings tore out of the tank, long and short....i purchased a whole new tank system, not fun getting in and out, but done. Then I got kit to replace seals in toilet and now all good. Not easy removing that tank and replacing, no fun either... it's a sh... job. Next will be macerator replacement. Boat is 20 years old now so none of this in unexpected.

If any of you need sanitation system help, call Jay at Aquastar Distributors in Farmingdale NY .....he knows this stuff inside out, and is a pleasure to work with.
