Colour Gelcoat

Postby Olesegeln » Tue Jan 05, 2021 7:10 am

Hi all,

first I would like to wish all forum users a happy and healthy new year!

Does anyone know what is the colour of the gelcoat for a Wellcraft 3500 Corsair, from 1992 ? A Colour # (RAL, or any other system) would be very helpful.

Thx

Ole

Thanks Ole, same to you. Gel coat is usually not available in specific colors and if it was then you would have to figure out how to make it match a color that's been exposed 18 years of weather. Even if your bout is well maintained the color has faded some. That said mixing small amounts till you get a match is the way it's usually done(and I'll say I'm not good at it at all)Good Luck
