Propeller on 94 Wellcraft Matinique 3200

Postby Riverboatin » Mon Feb 08, 2016 12:09 pm

We need the propellers on our new baby redone - they are currently Bronze 17 X 15s

. I know Nada zilch nothing about props. I am wondering does that sound correct for this boat? 32 feet 10,300 dry twin 350 XL crusaders engines. inboards.
We are going to need to buy a spare prop just to have on board - I was thinking 2 would be better!! but I want to pick all of your brains on should i stay with what i have or consider a different propeller?

Any thoughts? Any opinions? Anybody else have one of these sweet babies care to chime in?
Thanks in advance everyone!

PS any thoughts on Marine grade bean bag chairs for lounging on the bow?

Just thought I wold entertain you all... so we found a place to have the props reconditioned and we went to take them off the boat.

Have I mentioned that our last boat was a pontoon? well... yeah.

So we got the cotter pin pulled.
Then those ginormous nuts off.

We gave ZERO thought to a prop puller... sigh. SO I guess I will be asking the Marina to pull them bad boys for me!
Wheee!!!

I like you, don't know very much about props! However I found this online calculator to be very useful and helped me understand better what I needed for one of my past boats:
https://www.vicprop.com/planing_size.php
Hope this helps :)

Thank you Rich3rd!

Just to keep the boards moving... pulled the props on Friday with one of those resonator prop pullers. Took them in and will get them back hopefully in a week! HURRY UP SPRING!!!!
