No Water In Toilet

Postby Sryan » Fri Aug 30, 2019 8:47 pm

Just purchased a 94 Martinique 3600 but cannot figure out how to get water into toilet. Is there a shut off somewhere?

Most marine toilets have 2 underwater thru hulls, a 3/4” inlet and a 1.5” outlet, located in the middle of the bilge. They probably have valves with yellow handles that turn 90 deg. Sideways is closed and straight up and down is open. Sounds like your inlet is in the closed position. Some toilets flush with water from the water tank. They should work if your water pressure is on.

Waste water goes to a holding tank and is either pumped overboard where legal or evacuated at a pump out station. This is controlled by a y-valve. You should locate your y-valve and determine which position it is in. If you are going to pump out legally, make sure your outlet valve is open also.
