Sea Ray 270 vs martinique 2600

Postby PB1 » Wed Jan 08, 2025 11:49 pm

Hello!

I've been considering a SR 2002 SR 260 and during my search came across a 2000 martinique that seems to be in good shape at a very good price.

The martinique is not as 'fancy' as the SR but I like the layout of the martinique and it seems practical.

How do the 2 compare? How are Wellcrafts built in comparison, and do they have wood in the stringers and transom etc? Common issues to look for?

I have a Wellcraft Martinique 3200 and love it, my son has a Searay 320 and loves his boat. In my opinion the Wellcraft's are cheaper and are as well built as the Sea ray, They both have the same Mercruiser 454 Engines. The Sea Ray is an I/O and has more room in the engine room. It also is very Fancy. Being older, I go for economy. In my opinion the Wellcraft is a better buy for the money.

Thanks! That's been my impression too, but I actually like the styling and asthetic of the Wellcraft better than SR!
