Not sure what you mean by impeller. Are you talking about the rubber impeller inside a raw water pump? If you have Mercruiser, it is belt driven. If Crusader or PCM, they are mounted on the crankshaft and are quite small. Just follow the hose from the sea cock intake to the engine.
