I grew up on the coast of Rhode Island but have lived and worked in Maine since 1978. I'm a huge, lifelong fan of and user of center-console inshore fishing boats (my last one was a Parker 18), and I just discovered the wonderful, Ray Hunt-designed Wellcraft Step Lift V17 Fisherman, produced back in the 70s.
I WANT ONE! This model gets very positive reviews on fishing-boat forums like The Hull Truth, and it's just what I need for chasing the striped bass that populate Maine's coastal rivers each summer. I hope members of the Wellcraft Owners forum can help me with more information about this boat AND help me find one.

- Vessel Info: I don't own a Wellcraft at the moment, but I want to buy one of the 70s-vintage V-17 center-console boats. This forum seemed to be THE place to look for one of those boats, as well as more information on this model.
