No interior

Postby groarkaj » Tue May 17, 2022 1:03 pm

Hi

I am a new member in the UK and have seen a 1989 Wellcraft 192 classic all there and seems ok but the interior is missing ie seats engine cover side trim and rear seat cushions. I am thinking of restoring it but need to know what is the availability of said items.

Also the cabin is in a bit of a state there seems to be some sort of ballast under the side seats would this be correct ?

Thanks in advance

Welcome Aboard, a lot of that stuff might be able to be found at salvage yards, or if someone is parting one out. The other option is to either make it or be creative and find stuff that that will work from other years or other boats. As far as ballast goes none that I know of but that might be foam

IS there a second hand market place? I would gladly order the entire set of interior cushions and padding of there was a marketplace to buy!

I am not sure what you say is missing and what needs to be replaced. Anything covered in vinyl and specific to your boat is probably not worth purchasing used as it would be over 30 years old and not in good shape. Your best bet is to purchase new complete seats. Taylor Made is a company that manufactures various seat configurations. Overtons is a company here in the States that sells seats and ships them internationally. The side trim is called bolsters. Before you put a lot of money into this boat, make sure the hull is in good shape. To get you started, I am enclosing a picture of what your boat probably looked like when new.
