Hi! My name is Mike and I'm new to this forum. I have owned my 2007 Coastal 232 since it was new and live on Vancouver Island. It's been a great boat so far. I mainly use it for fishing with some cruising as well. The longest trip was up the inside passage to Ketchikan, Alaska from Vancouver Island in 2009. Now I mostly fish on the east and west coasts of Vancouver Island and do shorter trips locally. I've made a few minor modifications to the boat and am hoping I can get some information from others who have similar interests. Presently I am looking into installing a cabin heater of some sort (Wallas, Espar, etc.), but would appreciate any helpful hints on what works best and where/how to install one. Attached is a pic of the boat on the Alaska trip. Cheers...

I have a pretty large battery setup on my 21ft cuddy cabin with a inverter installed and into the inverter I plug a ceramic heater from harbor freight so the fist is fairly low I only use it to take the chill off as I have a heavy sleeping bag as well and I never leave it on unattended but it works ell I have it all on the aft bulkhead if the cabin on a small shelf I installed there along with Velcro to keep it all in place.
