Hole in bow & cabin bed parts

Postby Shoriggin » Sat Oct 24, 2020 8:36 pm

Hi! I'm a first time owner of a Wellcraft. I just purchased a 1996 238 Coastal.
I have a couple of questions.
1) there is a hole through the hull right by the bow eye on the port side of boat. It is about 1/2" in diameter. Previous owner said that it was a drain for the anchor locker. Is this accurate? If so, why doesn't it have a thru-hull fitting instead of just a drilled hole?
2) does any have a picture of what the components look like that form the bed in the galley? Mine is missing the couple of pieces that cover the center floor area. I don't know how big they should be or how much of the cabin they cover.
Thanks!
Larry

I think the hole is for the anchor locker. It should have a fitting in it which has a clam shell that only allows water to go out but not in from the front.
