Water in cabin

Postby 230 » Mon May 17, 2021 11:33 am

I have a 2000 230 coastal and I’ve been having issues with water in the cabin floor. Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution?

Most of the time It'll be leaking from the windows or windshield when raining, if that's not the case and it doesn't matter what the weather is then check for leaks at your fresh water tank and line and also at any through hulls that drain water from the cabin areas like sinks or the head if you have one. Also check your forward bilge pump most Coastals don't drain the forward parts of the boats to the stern

This one should be taken in its right weight.
This is a matter of life and death. Ensure first you carry the life savor kit. Be trained well in dealing with danger and capsizes.

I am dealing with the same issue in my 2000 230 Coastal tournament edition. I pulled out the black water tank, beneath where the water always appears and I found a drain plug and pipe which leads toward the stern. The plug is water tight, but water is sealing in around the outside of the pipe. I presume the water is trapped in the area beneath the fuel tank. It has a gross sour smell. Anyhow, I am currently trying to seal the leak, but is is tricky because the area is constantly wet.
