Master & Power switch

so I have a battery switch button that is labeled master on top and power on the bottom, when i turn off my boat, should it be flipped up for master or down position for power? think i left it left down on power and battery was dead from that or did i leave the radio on or GPS

Never heard of that, usually it's batt. 1, batt 2, off, both how about a pic?
