Installing transducer

Postby Allen31525 » Mon Apr 04, 2022 9:23 pm

I have a garmin striker plus 4 unit. Needing advice where the best place would be to install on transom or thru hull at bilge pump.
My boat is a 1996 190ccf
Thanks

If it was me, I would choose thru hull every time

I have straight shot to bilge area nothing in the way. Do you recommend mounting there and what type of prep work is needed? Thanks a bunch

All depends on the type of thru hull your using. Some you need to drill a hole for, some need a hole and a fairing and most of the modern ones just get glued to the hull. All will require you to clean the mounting area and all should be able to read water temp if so equipped. Just follow the insturtions or go to thr makers web site
