Garmin fuel flow sensors update, Installed

Postby daveswellcraft » Wed Sep 14, 2022 7:57 pm

Has anyone installed Garmin fuel flow sensors? Amazon had the gfs10 on sale for $129. I ordered 2 for my boat. They look pretty easy to install. I already have a Garmin 9'' plotter.

They are installed and up and running. This picture is at idle, you can change the scale. I plan on doing a trip in the next few days. I am interested in where the most efficient RPM will be.

FYI I went on a short trip over the weekend, I was burning just over 10 gph on each engine 20.6 total, RPM around 3000, speed just over 17 Knots, economy .83 mn per gallon. The boat was fully loaded with fuel 270 gallons. I was running just before the 4 barrels kick in. 66 nm total trip.
