Installing new Garmin transducer on 230 Coastal

Postby jimbo59 » Sat Jun 29, 2019 8:34 am

Any tips for running cable from Transducer unit back up to dash board on 230 Coastal? First time I've tried this on my own.

Did it already have a transducer? if so you can use the old cable as a pulling tape. If that doesn't work it's just a matter of finding an opening to run it and gaining access to it, That task will probably be more time consuming than any thing else

You may need an electrician’s snake to get through the difficult spots. I like the ones that are made of plastic rod sections. Be sure to use wire ties to secure it to something every few feet. Better yet, protect the cable by enclosing it in split flex duct, $5 at HD.
