Newbie Help Required

Postby jimlawrie » Mon Jul 19, 2021 5:43 am

Greetings to you all from Bahrain. I have recently purchased an Airslot 24' year unknown which is in relatively good condition. Its hull only so I'm strating from scratch but am very excited to get her back into the drink. My problem is that according to the licensing authorities out here, they have allowed for only 2 X 115hp OB motors. What I've seen on the original brochures etc is that they were rated up to 2 X 140hp OB's. I've spent hours searching for owner's manuals or boat spec sheets on these models but have come up short so far. Can anyone advise me as to where I can get such info so that I'm able to supply the authorities with some kind of certificate / manual that can prove my claim. Would appreciate any help

Welcome Aboard, hopefully one of the Airslot owners will chime in. For what it's worth a 24ft boat with 2 x 115hp will move across the water pretty good

Thanks alot mate, yes hopefully will find something. Actually I cam across an old bloke today who used to be the Wellcraft agent here and remembers selling 2 of these here. He seems to think he has some old documentation on it. So maybe I can come right. Small world isnt it!!!
