Is this a cleanout?

Postby AverageJoe » Thu Feb 27, 2020 11:39 am

I have a 1998 Suzuki DT 140 on my 1984 Wellcraft 166. Both are new to me. There’s a port on the Suzuki that I’m assuming is a water hose attachment for clean-outs. I thought I should post a pic for confirmation before I flush water through it:

Yep you got it, but do not run the engine! A better flush (if your salt or brackish water) is to use ear muffs on it, If your fresh only just put the hose on and let it run 5-10 min but use the ear muffs to winterize

Thanks! Will do. That’s gonna make it easy to do cleanout when docked.
