I have a 2000 22' walk around. I want to put a hard top on it. Does anyone know where I can get a factory top or the schematics to build my own. Know there is a place in Florida that has used hard tops but I need info to give them to make sure it will fit.

Thnx for your help

View the latest post Coastal 290 dimensions

Does anyone have the exact dimensions of the coastal 290 for early 2000's. Trying to get the dimensions from bow (minus the pulpit) to the back of engines. I have a very narrow canal and want to know if i can spin it. I have a 2600 with a bracket and it barely makes it now.

View the latest post Attachment(s) My Wellcraft

Hi all, I have owned my 1995 Martinique 2700 for 6 months and it is awesome. Just finished new canvas enclosure, bottom paint, shift cable, and full servicing. Buffed and waxed also. It has the Volvo DPS with 7.4 liter engine. I love the quality and the style. As a former Bayliner owner It is clear that Wellcraft is built to a higher standard.. Regards, Jeff

View the latest post What size anchor shoud I use?

I just recently purchased my used 2008 290 Coastal and it has a smaller Danforth anchor (maybe 14lb), which has chipped the bow gel coat in the past. In our area near Miami, FL, the Plough (not claw) seems to be the most popular, but I'm not sure what size is suggested for my boat. I bought a 15KG (33 lb), but it kinda looks big and I'm concerned about the strength of the windlass. Can other Coastal owners please share their experience and give me your anchor size and thoughts?

Thanks, Brent in Miami

View the latest post 290 Coastal Ground Light (Help!)

I recently purchased a 2008 290 Coastal. For some reason the ground alarm in the electrical panel in the cabin is sounding and the ground light remains red. I have 50 amp service at the marina and use a splitter for my 2 30 amp shore ties. I've tried 3 other towers on the dock, so I'm convinced the problem is not the marina. Does anyone have any suggestions what would make the ground alarm sound? I can reset the audio alarm, but the light remains red. Everything including the A/C appears to be working properly, so I'm baffled what is causing the alarm. Thanks for your help and suggestions.

View the latest post Happy New Coastal Owner

Hello from South Florida. My wife and I recently bought a 2008 Coastal 290 w/twin Yamaha F250s. I just retired and my wife will retire at the end of June. We initially planned to buy an RV and travel the country, but changed our minds and decided to upsize our boat from our old 1981 19' Grady White and stay closer to the grand kids. We both love the boat, but the previous owner had little documentation and or manuals, so we're trying to figure out how everything works. There are several switches and button I have no idea what they control, so I look forward to picking other owner's brains and hopefully will return the favor for other new owners in the future. All the Best, Brent
