I just purchased a 1998 Wellcraft Martinique and cannot figure out how to run the internal electronics on AC shore power. All of the lights and even the air-conditioning wants to run off of the starboard engine battery which drains is fairly quickly. I have tried every option I could think of with the circuit board. There must be a way to run directly from AC. I must be missing something and the manual is no help.

Hello! Just bought my first boat with shore power. Have not even tested it. I have electrical outlets in the cabin, but assume everything is still configured to use 12V. If I run into the same problem, I might install a 120vac to 12vdc inverter with enough wattage to run everything. Then would have a switch box that would disconnect the batteries and at the same time switch to inverter.

Definitely not a veteran with that type stuff, but have fixed up quite a few boats over the years. In a home, you must have a similar switch to convert from power company to generator feed in case of a power outage. Good luck with it!

I would say your outlet is 110, should have a shore power cord and fuse panel switches for 110 items, everything else should be 12volt, good luck, don't burn it up
