Newbie owner questions:

1. I looked for a battery charger in my boat and couldn't find anything that looked like one. The AC panel does have a switch for one. I opresume it has one: what does it look like and where might I find it in the engine compartment?

2. If present, is the charger a charger, period, or a charger/maintainer?

3, If it's a maintainer, should I keep the shore power constant?

It should be in the engine compartment if you have one. There where dealer installed so who knows. Could be there was one and it went bad so it got removed. No you don't have to leave it plugged in and on but if you can it wouldn't cause any problems. If you keep your boat in the water It might be a good idea to keep it plugged in and the batt. charger on so you don't have to worry about a bilge pump failure because of a dead batt.
