What year and model is this boat

Hi all,

Just registered. A neighbor offered this boat to me for next to nothing. I have not had a chance to look at it in-depth but it seems to be a Wellcraft 18 fish? Any idea what model it actually is and year of make? It was repowered with a mid 2000’s Suzuki 115 which is a plus. Any info on this boat would be greatly appreciated. Pat

look up the hull ID # and that will tell you

Thanks Bill... After some more research it seems to be an 89-90 Fish. Are there any issues with this hull other than the waterline being low in the stern? I am new to Wellcrafts and really have a lot of Whaler knowledge. The floors seem fine as I could not find any soft spots. It will really just need a cleaning and minor upgrades. I am specifically interested if these boats have a wooden construction and if they have a track record of leaking gas tanks... Anyone have any experience with these models?

Last 2 numbers in serial should be year

Anything in the 80's make sure you check the stringers and transom real good as they have been known to go bad
