I keep reading about these boats stringer issues?? can someone elaborate? I am looking at FriendShip on Lake Lanier and very curious.
FriendShip is an 88 7.4 Tropez.
Also how well do the V-Drive transmissions hold up? Thanks for having me and hope to be a wellcrafter soon.

Some of them did have stringer issues. Since your boat is 30 years old and still kicking either it never had the issue or has long since been fixed. A survey is recommended. Boats used on fresh water may have more dry rot issues than salt water ones. Make sure the cockpit decking is not soft or bouncy. V-drives are very robust and should not give you any trouble if they have been properly maintained. Make sure the fuel lines are not 30 years old. A lot of boat for the money.
