Hi everybody. We are going to reupholster the cabin cushions and backrests and whatever those upholstered trim pieces are running along the top of the seats and cabinets on a coastal 270. Does anyone have any idea how to remove those? I've looked around at it but it seriously looks like it was screwed in before it was upholstered. Thanks for any help

Did all mine already so here's what I did, The screws for the back rests are the 4 big screws on the hull side of the shelf and the whole shelf comes off after that it's easy, I did mine with the shelf still attached. The trim cushion/padded thing needs to be cut open to get to the screws I put mine back using screw covers, the front piece where the anchor locker is also needs to be cut to expose the screws and there are also some on the back side( in the anchor locker, I also put that back using screw covers. Don't ask me how they were able to do it but yes it does seam like they covered that stuff after it was screwed in.

Thank you.! I knew I couldn't have been that crazy. Ha. I had also thought about doing decorative screw covers when I reattach them. Of you don't mind one more question, do you know if the optional ac would have been set under the three decklid behind the cockpit?

A/c which was the first thing I installed goes in the aft cabin on the port side behind the panel with the storage box

Yes, It's not hard to do just hard to work in those tight areas(as I'm sure you know)

I can imagine. I'm. Planning on doing mine myself but not looking forward to it. I'm handy but honestly it's kind of intimidating.

Hardest part was planning the water intake and pump location, then drilling a hole in the bottom of a perfectly good boat
