Anybody know how to get this shifter out? Handle is off and I'm ready to remove the 3 plate screws. This will leave it hanging in its little area. Removed the panel containing the speakers and the cables go through a very small area. No way to feel the back of the shifter from either direction. The shifter has to come out its mounting hole. What's the trick? Thanks in advance!

Is it loose at all? Most of the time once you take out the screws it's just a matter of wiggling it to find the right spot for it to come out

you remove the nut from the center of the handel first, then the 4 mounting bolts and nuts

I don't know if you are still working on this, but I had to remove the ceiling in the sleeping berth to get at the gunwale area. Still couldn't get the back of the shifter out without removing the cables completely.
