Hello. New member here. I am looking into buying a 1983 Nova II 26' . It has twin 350's. 260 HP each. Alpha drives. New gauges. Trim gauges dont work, wiring is toast. But lowers do go up and down fine. Motors have quadra jet carbs. Newer drive shaft bellows. Exhaust bellows are shot. Shift cable bellows were replaced as well I believe. Lots of nice teak and good teak swim platform. Has trim tabs that work. Hull looks great and dont feel any soft spots anywhere except the cuddy floor may be a bit soft or else it has padding under the carpet. Not sure. Always stored inside.
I am looking for any info as to what to look for in considering this boat. I love the looks of it. It has fresher paint and vinyl is very good. It also has a convertible top and side curtains but havent seen them so dont know condition. Trailer is in excellent shape. 4 new tires.
Any help would be very appreciated. Thank You.

Also the boat has through hall exhaust only. Exhaust bellows are shot and have been told that I can still take boat out without sinking it. Wondering if that is ok. It looks like there is a plate blocking off the exhaust hole down where it would normally be connected to the outdrive for silent choice.
Thanks

Hello.
Sorry I forgot about this post and just saw a couple of replies.
Yes I did end up buying this boat and have loved it ever since. Had to replace both carbs. They were shot. Replaced with reman quadrajets since that was the easiest way to go. Touched up a few things here and there. Added gps. But trying to keep the boat as original as possible. We get compliments everywhere we go with this boat. It isn't a speed demand, does 59. That is fast enough for me and my family. 35 to 40 is a great cruising speed and easy on the kids and wife. It has the old school controls with the round knobs on top. They look cool and original but are a bit sticky. Handles the waves great. Gets up and goes on plane nice and smooth. came with 2 sets of s s props, full cover, cockpit cover, original like new convertable top, and original like new full camper enclosure with isinglass sides that are also like new. This boat is awesome.
