Ice make issue

Hello all,
If this issue has ever been covered please forgive me for bringing it up again. I recently purchased a 99 Martinique 3000. It has a uline 95 ice maker in it that worked great for the first week. Friday I came out and the ice maker was hot and full of water. After doing some digging I found out my fresh water pump had burned out on the boat, after replacing that, the water works but the the ice maker still won't work. I can hear what sounds like a motor kick on when I turn it on but it won't get cold or produce ice. Did the water pump burning up fry my ice maker or is there something I need to do to reset? I really don't want to drop $1,300 for a new ice maker so I thought I'd ask here to see if anybody had this problem and if so how did you fix it. Thanks in advance.

No it was real easy, on mine there's a access panel in the floor in the cabin to get to the water tank. The pump is right next to the tank. Take the the 4 screws that hold it on out, pull the 2 water lines and find something to cap them. Swap out the negative and positive wires to the new pump and reconnect your water lines and your done

Ok, so for anybody that may have an issue with something like this. Here's how it was fixed. Today I went out to my boat to rip out the ice maker. Before doing that I decided to check the water valve. I unplugged it and hit it with the multi meter. I found out it's supposed to register between 200-500, which mine was at 358. Finding out that wasn't the problem I removed my water line and cleaned the filter. Put everything back with very little confidence that it was good to go. When I turned it on I about fell off the boat when everything fired up and started working. I figure it's one of 2 things, 1-the filter was clogged and not allowing water through (I doubt it since it wasn't dirty), or 2- somehow when the water pump went out it caused an air pocket in the line so when the valve called for water it was being told there was no water because it was being blocked by the air pocket. Either way, I'm ecstatic that it's back working again, and didn't cost me a small fortune.

I have a 1998 Martinique 3000 that I just purchased this year. Can you tell me where the water valve is for ice maker? The sink above works but the ice maker below the sink does not. I turned the Ice Maker on from the circuit breaker in cabin and the on/off switch at bottom of ice maker and nothing. The previous owner said he turned the water off to the ice maker but I can not find a valve for it.

I'm not sure about the valve for that. I just pulled my main line. If I had to guess though I would say it would be near the water pump itself.

The water valve I'm referring to is where the main goes into where the switch itself is. If I go out to my boat later I'll take a picture and post it. If I'm not mistaken it was also part of the on/off switch. Take out the 2 screws, unscrew the main line to ensure water is coming out, if it is clean that filter inside. If it's not coming out you have to have a seperate petcock valve on it.

You should know that, freezing time depends on various factors. See this article
https://icemakinghub.com/how-long-does-it-take-ice-to-freeze/. If you want to make the process faster, use hot water because it freezes faster than cool water. Yes! Hot water freezes faster than cold water because of the Mpemba effect.
