1999 24' Walkaround

A previous owner drilled 3"diameter holes in my fish wells. Due to wakes when docked one side has filled with water. The water does not drain out or seem to get to the bilge pump. The fish well pump has been disconnected. I don't know the construction of these wells and where the water should or could drain to. Any ideas?

3" holes? Yikes! Why did he do that?

The livewell should drain out the starboard side of the boat. You should be able to see it when you look through the hatch under the door, or if you remove the toilet paper cabinet behind the helm.

Try using a coat hanger to carefully clear out the drain hose. Mud wasps or fish scales have probably plugged it up.

I see this post is older, so I hope you have fixed the problem by now.
