New Purchase Scarab 300

Postby vinnie999 » Fri Jun 04, 2021 1:49 pm

Hello Everyone! I have a deposit on a 79 Scarab 300 and have seen pictures and videos only. I'm making the purchase from an elderly gentleman that has owned the boat since 1985. The boats about 6 hours away and I'm picking her up Sunday. He's always kept the boat inside and has done a lot of upgrades and repairs, including replacing the transom and stringers. The transmissions have been changed to BW 72C and engines are built from New Mark IV LS-6 big blocks with Merlin heads. I've owned boats for most of my life but mostly larger inboard diesel types. Any suggestions for problem areas to look for? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome aboard, sounds like that's going be a good one. Post some pics when you have it, and I'm sure the scarab guys will chime in on this one
