Yes, will be diligent about maintenance. Had a 1985 22' Cruisers Inc for 14 years prior, but way more water systems and things to learn on this one. Wish I was more "mechanical" :( But alas, that's why I found the forum. I'm going to need lots of advice!

Did you do the maint. on your 22', and going to take care of this one ? , I know what you mean by more to learn about boat, I had a 20' cc trailered prior., my boat is the same as yours, help you as much needed, but sometimes you have to have a pro look at it. I,ve learned quit a bit, like pulling outdrive , mtr.pull, stringer replacement ,thanks to poor glass lay up around drain tubes into bilge, rain water was coming in around side of boat, dumping in by rear seat, always had water in bot. of bilge, fixed the prob., my pump never has to run now. engine alignment is critical, get a good service book for the merc/bravo, lots of good reading

Sorry for the late reply. Boat has been at mechanic to winterize. Next up is shrinkwrap. To respond, no, I didn't do my own maintenance, I always had a pro winterize, repair, with the exception of little things like a starter (boyfriend was able to do that). I washed and waxed annually, that's about it. I brought her back this week from the mechanic who winterized. So today, put in some of the Damp Rid bags and noticed a compartment in the aft cabin I hadn't seen before (it was under a cushion). I took the cover off and to my chagrin it was some sort of pump compartment that had 3 inches of water in the bottom of it. According to my diagram of the boat, its the shower sump pump. The water had a green tinge to it, bf thinks maybe it was antifreeze? I sopped it up and then shop vac-ed it all out. Doesn't seem right to leave standing water in the boat over the winter.... should I be worried? I am having high anxiety about having water in the bilge, but I'm probably just paranoid. Another question, where the heck is the a/c compressor, diagram has an arrow pointing to the captain's chair, they wouldn't put it underneath the chair so that you have to disassemble the chair to access would they????
Photo is attached (I think..)
