Hello everybody.
I recently purchased a 1999, Wellcraft Martinique 3000. I've had it for only a week and I must say it's certainly a step up from my cruisers inc 2660. My wife, son and myself are completely satisfied with it. I'd like to hear some feedback from anybody that has this same style boat regarding the likes and dislikes, possible things I could look at to improve what I have. Thank you in advance.

Welcome aboard! Super nice boat. I believe there's several on the forum with same model, so hopefully you'll have some good input.

Welcome to the Forum! We got our 94 Martinique 3200 last fall - I agree its a fabulous boat! my husband and son love it too
Your is newer and I think has a different cabin configuration - but I love the ROOM below decks. My hubby is 6'5" and he can easily stand up below decks. We jumped up from a 20foot pontoon so no dislikes but things that I am still adjusting too:
Good lord thats a lot of weight -
how much the wind can push the nose about
Twin 350 XLs growl quite a bit more that q 50 HP outboard
but she is s joy to drive and to be on - sleeping is comfy and I am sure you had one on your last boat- yes! A potty is a beautiful thing!!!!

So I have a question. I want to change my anchor to a plow anchor. I tried a 22lb delta and it's to thick to fit. Is there another style anchor I could use to make it work? I'm not a fan of the danforth that is on it.

We use a very light danforth- but we are on the st croix River ... All soft silt ... It's perfect for our use..

I have a 2005 - 290 Coastal With the Original Danforth Anchor. Has anyone replaced it with a "Plow" or "Delta". If so what make and mode. The reason I ask, is that when leaving a dock (Port Side To) and you are backing, there is a chance that the Shank can get caught on a Piling. The same situation when backing out of you Lift. You can get the Shank caught on one of the White PVC Guide Poles. I feel sure someone has had the same issue and possibly has changed their anchor. I just want to make sure that If I change to a Plow that the dimensions and rollers will work with the Windless. Advise. Bobby Rees Mobile = 252-362-3813 == Email:
