Wasn't really looking for a project, But...

Here is the latest addition to my 95 218CCF.
The 200 Ocean Pro that came with it was a POS... Clearly wasn't taken care of by previous owner. No compression in 3 out of 6 cylinder.
Anyhow, I found a great deal on this 275 Verado here in SoCal.
Now, on to rigging/wiring into my boat.
I was able to run/calibrate the engine to the new controls at the boat shop. Not sure if I can put their name out here, PM me if you want to know who did this for me...

On to rigging this beast. Need to redo the dash now. Seems the new electronic binnacle control is way smaller than the cable controls I took out. New black StarBoard ordered, will be here today. Heres some before pics.

OMG, got her started Saturday, 10/2, fired right up, with jumper cable to truck. I didn't think we would get that far Saturday, so I may have not charged the batteries before. Charger on batteries now. Getting the right power steering hose this week. Should see water in another week... I did miss opening day for California Spiny Lobster, but will be out there soon...

Finally got her out on the water. Local lake, Puddingstone(San Dimas, CA). Ran like a beast. I can't believe how quiet the Verado is. All we can here is a little blower whine, if at all. Got 38 MPH on the choppy shallow side of run, 42 MPH on deeper side of run. The Wellcraft handled the sloppy water from other boats great, we all stayed plenty dry. We figure out the on/off key placement was terrible, as it was hit more than once while moving around the console, it will be relocated to the upper position in the helm before our next trip to the lake. That feeling when you loose all power immediately is terrifying on the water. Getting the final finishing stuff (lighting/electronics stuff) done so we can get some Lobsters (Bugs) soon.
