Hi All,
New to this forum. I have a 252 Coastal with handrail on both gunnels. Over the years the starboard one has become loose. This weekend the screw finally backed it self out completely and is now residing some where in the bilge. Wondering if any of you have had a similar problem? How do you get access to those to tighten? Been looking at it for 3 years, but with out cutting a port i don't see how you can tighten the hand rail. Or for me how you replace the screw that backed itself off.

Overall I am very happy with the design and layout of this model. Everything project up to this one has been pretty easy! But these railings are driving me crazy.

Hey Habitat,
I think I've got the same issue and planning on mounting downrigger plates on the rail and gunnel so need to make sure the rails are secure. Looks like I might be able to get at the nut by taking out the flush mount rod holders, but not sure if a special tool will be needed to get at them.
Did you figure out a way?
