Postby caroy88 » Mon Dec 02, 2019 9:48 am

Looking for recommendations on how to clean upholstered fabric once it has been removed from the interior cushions of a 2005 330 Coastal.

What kind of fabric is it? and can you remove the foam from it, if so put it in the washing machine on gentle cycle or take it to a dry cleaner. I've heard of people using automotive upholstery cleaner also, just make sure you test a small spot first

Thanks for the information. We took the covers to a dry cleaner. We were advised to put them in a washing machine on gentle. They came out great with no color loss or shrinkage. :-)

Vessel Info: 1988 Wellcraft 220 XL Elite. Motor is a 7.4 liter MerCrusier with a Bravo One stern-drive. Exhaust is out the sides. I am in the process of redoing the interior and generally freshening it up. I bought it around Christmas and am doing all this work without putting it in the water. Motor runs smooth and system looks good but I have my fingers crossed. Don't know whether to update the dash since it is all original. I may wait until I get it wet and see what gauges work and what doesn't. I live in South Carolina so I'll have it in the water pretty soon. We have private boat ramps still open but I'm told the authorities will pull you if you have more than three people in the boat to make sure you actually live together. Just trying to stay safe in these crazy times!

"Goof Off" works pretty well and is available everywhere!
