I'm a new owner of a 2000 Wellcraft 2400 Martinique. Just wanted to validate what I think is happening is correct behavior. There is a "Head" / "Shower Sump Pump" DPDS switch in the head that operates the vacuum generator when it is in the "Head" position. When in the "Head" position, it also runs the fresh water pressure system and water flows to the sink in the head, the shower and the sink in the galley. My question is, is there a way to pressurize the water system without turning on the vacu-flush vacuum generator, or is that the way it is supposed to work? Perhaps there is a sensor that shuts off the vacuum generator when it reaches some level, but mine seems to run continuously when that switch is on. Any info you all have would be greatly appreciated. This subject is not detailed in the manual I have and wanted to verify what is supposed to happen before I start tearing into things. I have a 2003 2600 Martinique and in my boat there are 3 switches. 1 for the vacuum pump for the head, 1 for the shower sump and 1 one for the fresh water pressure and they all work independent from each other...is this the case for your boat as well?

No, on mine, there is only a single double pole, double throw switch. Switch is labeled "Head" on the up position and "Shower Sump Pump" on the down position (middle position is all functions off). Switching to the "Head" position operates both the fresh water system and the vacuum generator. Switching to the "Shower Sump Pump" position operates the shower sump pump. It sounds like they made a design change between 2000 and 2003 to make the system function more like one would expect that it should.

My switch is as yours, it should build press. and shut off, I had a leak in my wash dn. sprayer hose and it wouldnt hold press. you should find leak,it would run a little then quit per press., ck your hose and fittings maybe your loosing vac. on your intake side or someplace a leak,?

Actually, I was able to solve my problem. Turns out the system was working as designed like you mentioned. I did make a small change to make it function like I wanted. I added a switch for the fresh water system (SPST) and was able to move a couple of wires/jumpers to accmodate what I wanted. Now the two position toggle switch operates the vacuum pump in the up position and the shower sump pump in the down position. The water pressure system does not operate unless you switch it on with the new switch. The advantage is that you can run the pressurized water system independently of the other systems, which is what I wanted. I didn't have any actual leaks.
