Trim works, gauge just doesn't register.
Anyone know of any good writeups on testing these units?
Is there a good repair manual for these boats?
If needed can the gauge or sender unit just be replaced with non-OEM ones?

I use Sealoc Manuals for my stuff, see if you can find one for your year and power train(Mec. OMC Volvo Penta) they usually have section on tilt & trim That should help you out(any manual like Sealoc, Chilton Etc. will work) and as far as replacing with non-OEM parts that's more than likely your only choice.
