Removing Windshield for paint

I want to repaint my 1987 230 Coastal. How involved is removing the wind shield? Is there an easy way to find the screw that are covered by the carpet?

I want to repaint my 1987 230 Coastal. How involved is removing the wind shield? Is there an easy way to find the screws that hold the aluminum channel in place?
