I have a 1989 215 Eclipse and the floor is rotted. I need to replace the decking and repair any damaged stringers. Does anyone have experience with this or maybe some ideas were I can get some information on how to go about repairing it.

Thanks, I have done some fiber glass work. That's not my concern. Its more like how to reattach the flooring to the hull correctly. I have not removed the carpet yet but my deck is pretty soft all over. I don't think there is much to save. I will check out your suggestion on line. Thanks

I had a 20 ft cuddy, same vintage, It was only 10 yrs old, but had floor as you describe, I removed carpet and shallow cut about 1 1/2 in from edge of boat, you prob. have a layer of fiberglass on top of floor board, I removed board from my step dn. to cuddy back to mtr. compartment frt. edge, that got my bad out, being soft it comes out easy, you can see whats next then, I used 2 4x8 sheets of 3/4 exterior sign bd., I was able to slid fit frt. board and rear sheet to fit somehow?support your seams, have to sand or grind board finish off where resin/glass is used,6 in., that saved from laying up whole floor, carpeted, just a sugg. it worked for me, or take to pro.
