Engine hesitation while accelerating

Postby Tmoran2 » Tue Jul 05, 2016 3:51 pm

Hey everyone,

I just bought a 1994 scarab 22 with a 350 merc. I ran it all weekend for the 4th. The boat sounds and runs great! The one thing I noticed, only here and there is when I go to plane the boat out sometimes It appeared I would lose power, the engine would almost skip/hesitate then pick back up. It didn't happen every time just once in a while. Once up on plane the boat flies even with camping gear and 4-5 people. Out of the hole shot though it struggled a little when that would happen. Any idea what that might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Tim

maybe check inside your dist.cap and wires, could be bad old gas if you just bought boat,, use a marine grade gas if you can
