Impeller Replacement-5.7 mercruiser

Postby Dwright529 » Mon Jan 23, 2023 10:21 am

I need to replace the impellers on both engines (5.7L mercruisers - 1999 Martinque 3200). Has anyone done these themselves? Are they easy to get to? The part is <$100 and the marina wants $400 per engine. Thanks in advance!

Which outdrive? If the impellor is mounted to the front of the motor(I think they started doing that with bravo 3)it's fairly easy. the other drives have it in the lower unit of the outdrive, It's not terribly hard if you have some basic mechanical skills. Both Are doable. It's been a long time since I messed with Merc. stuff, I preferer Volvo Penta and am better versed in them
