Looking into Nova

Postby GJSZ51 » Wed Jul 10, 2024 1:52 pm

Hi, all! .Thank you for allowing me to join

I live on the coast of North Carolina near Wilmington. I owned a nice lake boat when my kids were young. It was probably one of the best family fun investments I made.. I am retired now, kids are grown. and interested in getting back on the water. Mostly for my pleasure and a few friends. I know my wife will never get on the boat. She won't ride in my hot rods, either. :smh:

The Cape Fear river enters from the Atlantic near South port and of course there is the inland waterway separating mainland from the barrier islands. I am looking at a mid 90s Nova 23.

I would like to read impressions of the Nova particularly for ocean use. I have spent much time on lakes and rivers in a boat of this size but was wondering how these handle the open water. Not that it will spend much of its life there. Just want to be aware of its capabilities in calm to moderate seas.

Thank you in advance to all advice and opinions
